I had an e-commerce website and also a blog that was also wiped.
Thankfully, I had the backups for the website files and database backed up on totally different servers that didn't use any Cpanel accounts.
So I was able to finally restore my websites and get my e-commerce store back up and blog, although I lost sleep during the issue.
I also had woken up to check my e-commerce store to see if it had any orders, which it usually does and I woke up to the server being down.
The host suspended the VPS server, which I'm glad they did and I was wondering why it had been suspended.
I looked into my hosting account and found the ticket they sent and then responded back to them.
I had to completely change hosts, as I tried reinstalling the operating system and that too had been hacked and corrupted.
So I moved my files and website over to another completely different host and got it back online.
The host I was with was really good, and I hated to leave them.
I would still be with them today, if this Cpanel hack had not taken down my website, but it was not the hosts fault.
I just needed to get another server going quickly to get my website back online and the host I was with even provisioned me another server and they found out that they had also been hacked and so they are gonna have to fix those issues.
